IDOL TALK:

WOMEN WRITERS ON THE TEENAGE INFATUATIONS THAT CHANGED THEIR LIVES

edited by Elizabeth Searle and Tamra Wilson

Crushes on media idols have been going on since Valentino. In this new anthology, women remember the teen idols they worshipped, and talk about how those crushes shaped their adolescence and even their subsequent choice of a partner.  From Elvis and the Beatles to Dylan and Joni Mitchell,  Cat Stevens, even Bobby Orr:  women weigh in on their chosen obsession.  This generous collection includes contributions by Ann Hood, Lesléa Newman,  Jill McCorkle, and Suzanne Strempek Shea  and features a foreword by Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits.

The evening  will include readings by editor Elizabeth Searle and contributors Lesléa Newman and Suzanne Strempek Shea.
