Headstrong is the story of JoAnne Jones' traumatic brain injury resulting from an assault she suffered at the inauguration of Barack Obama, and her struggle to recover. A moving story about not only the drama of the assault itself, but also about the physical process of healing, and the discoveries that JoAnne made along the way about the brain and its capacities.
JoAnne Jones was a professor and associate dean for 25 years at Springfield College. She has taught at UMass and at the University of Calgary School of Social Welfare. Her teaching and research centered around issues of social justice.
